It's time to do some "Spring Cleaning" of your Mind!

I know we typically think of spring cleaning as deep cleaning the house.

Scrubbing the window sills

Going through clothes we haven’t worn and getting rid of them

Organizing the closet, the kitchen, the attic, the garage


But, do you ever think about spring cleaning for your mind?

How about we take some time this spring to do some deep thinking and clear out the mess in our heads?


Here are some ideas to help you with the cleaning out your mind.


  • Unclutter your thoughts

    • Take a sheet of paper and just start brainstorming and writing down anything and everything you have in you to do list for personal things

    • Do the same thing for work things

    • Just putting them down on paper starts to unclutter your head

  • Assess your to dos

    • Color code top priorities, secondary and things that really aren’t as important to get done in the next few months

    • Now see if you can delegate any of the tasks, and then write out a quick plan and tasks

  • By having all of this “out of your head” and on paper, now it’s time to

    • Reflect

    • Meditate

    • Pray

    • Just be - when I say “just be” I mean sit without music, without thinking about all the stuff you just listed to do. Maybe take a walk, or sit on a park bench and look around you. See, hear, smell and feel yourself in the present. When you do this, you release the overwhelm and can start fresh again

  • Find more ways to keep your mind “clean” on a regular basis

    • Mojo Mornings - affirmations, routine, positive self talk

    • Yoga

    • Walking or Running

    • Massages

    • Pedicures

    • Whatever helps you to relax and focus on your well being

So often we have all of this “Stuff” and a big mess of thoughts in our minds. So, together let's clean it out!
